Present for my big 30

First of all, I must feel guilty about this, since I'm a vegetarian for love for all creatures, naturally I should not be wearing or using any leather products. As you know, it's difficult to avoid while a pair of good walking shoes often are made out of leather. And a thick jacket to keep warm is often filled with feather and down. While I'm still an imperfect human, I must still express my joy to receive an Alexander Wang handbag for my big 30.
Initially I wanted the black one, it was unfortunate to be sold out. In the end, I got the burgundy one that's just perfect for my MacBook Pro.

Although, I have to say I'm still trying to say no to animal products. For example the latest winter boost I bought from Lacoste is made out of synthetic.

[Tea for the day] Numi's Rooibos

According to my friend SS. who can feel and see energy, Rooibos is very powerful in healing. The first time it was offered to me, I thought it was Pu er with a stronger scent and slight sour taste. But it turned out to keep me awake all night. I straight away knew it is not pu er and turned curious about it. As it looks as dark as a classic blend of black tea. It's quite sweet and easy to drink. I didn't mean to doubt SS. But is it really healing or is it just very strong in caffeine. If it's healing, shouldn't it make me sleepy?

The truth was quite surprising, as google told me it contains no caffeine but high level in anti oxidant than green tea. It is a suitable drink for pregnant women and children who cannot take caffeine and is extremely healthy as it reduces the activity of XO which could aid in treatment of gout. It is also very popular for its rich level in minerals and cancer fighting qualities.

It soon becomes one of my favorites. There are many different blends out there, some brands blend it with fruits or vanilla. But I still love to go with the original with my personal blend with a block of ginger sugar.

After all, I feel it's energy booster and I guess that's why in South Africa they call it 'Red Expresso'. Not a bad choice, when you want to cut down caffeine and step closer to immoral beauty.

[Review] The most long lasting Baby Carrier

My first impression of the brand was good, just because I like the name. The carrier it self does refer to  simple and sleek aesthetic as it sounds.  Thanks to my friend J. for this lovely gift.

It is very light and stylish looking, even my husband loves using it (Some Asian men are shy to use a baby carrier.) It is also easy to put on even when you are alone. The little one always seems comfortable to fall asleep during my window shopping.  It is very useful until my girl turned 8 month old. My shoulder could not bear her weight anymore and it was constantly in pain and as stiff as a rock.

Not the product's fault though...

Life time: 2mos-8mos

Mama-way pouch carrier.
During the period I was still excited to shop with my new status as a mom. I bought it on impulse. To explain what an impulsive shopper I was, I actually did bought two at the second purchase and post it to J. in the states for her second baby. The baby pouch is not as useful as people online described. And It's too hard to get the sizes right. It is not adjustable at all and hard to get the right size as the babies outgrow too fast I bought the first one and it was way to small.( Well, I have to admit I thought I was still an 'S', at least a 'Medium', but I was wrong. )  And the second time, it finally fit but can only last the baby for 2 months before I had to put it aside. It was good at the beginning as it saves a lot of strength from the shoulder as it Maybe I just don't know how to use it the right way. Or I should have got their other design that comes with the adjustable strap.

Life time: 10mos-12mos.


Cotton Candy X carrier

The X shape carrier was another impulse during my treasure hunt. The price was very affordable as I found it from taobao But it's too painful on the shoulder. It didn't even last a week. I had to seal it in the storage bag in tears...to be fair though, a friend of mine had been using it for almost two years. Her boy is a lot bigger than my girl in terms of size and weight. It might just because I'm too weak.

Life time: 1 week.

Ergo Baby

The most practical and long lasting baby carrier. If knew about this one earlier, I wouldn't have wasted so much money in different products. The special cushion for infants can also be purchased separately. Having this means having all. You don't need another one. I have tried mountain claiming with it and it was effortless to carry my girl up and down. She loves to be called as little monkey on my back. When she grew to 22 months, she started to dislike it due to the restriction of her movements, however it was only temporary. Over a period of time, when she started to understand more of what I say, she was okay to sit in it when I didn't take the stroller out.

[Tea for the day] Yogi's 'Moon Cycle'

I love the brand concept of Yogi. Their formula are mostly based on the traditional medicine of India, Ayurveda.

'Moon cycle' is very good for its warming effects and perfect for the monthly emotion swing during PMS. It also helps me to regulate my period (based on my 4 month in a row experiment) It has a slight scent of Dong quai and naturally colored in light honey amber with no awful taste of strong Chinese herbs.

The best part I enjoy the most is that every cup of tea comes with a random yet inspiring quote on its tag. "Together we can do what we can never do alone. " is what I get today.

Believe it or not, I often take it quite seriously just as much I do with the fortune cookies, therefore it has put my tea break into deep thoughts.....
